S2 is an R&D project aimed at developing the following resources:

• S2 Computable Domain Models: computable artifacts representing domain semantics, including:
  • information such as documents, questionnaires, etc;
  • process definitions for guidelines, and clinical pathways;
  • rules and decision pathways
• S2 Platform Definition: the definition of a platform, that is driven by the domain models in terms of:
  • APIs;
  • information model(s);
  • query language.
• Interoperability Artifacts: maps, algorithms and other artifacts aimed at mapping:
  • S2 models to data interop standards such as HL7 v2, CDA and FHIR; X12; etc.;
  • S2 native data to published standards such as OHSDI OMOP.
